APOSTOLIC EXHORTATION DILEXI TE OF THE HOLY FATHER LEO XIV TO ALL CHRISTIANS ON LOVE FOR THE POOR
“I HAVE LOVED YOU” (Rev 3:9) لقد أَحبَبتُكَ” (رؤيا يوحنّا 3، 9)”
Dilexi Te is Pope Leo XIV’s first apostolic exhortation, building upon Pope Francis’ fourth encyclical, Dilexit Nos. This exhortation is an invitation to contemplate Christ’s love, that we may be inspired to become attentive to the suffering and needs of others, and to share in the work of liberation that flows from his love (no. 2).
“The condition of the poor is a cry that, throughout human history, constantly challenges our lives, societies, political and economic systems, and, not least, the Church. On the wounded faces of the poor, we see the suffering of the innocent and, therefore, the suffering of Christ himself.” Pope Leo XIV Dilexi Te no. 9
